Membership Requirements
- Willingness to ask questions and understand anything about membership that is unclear — our team is here to walk you through it
- A one-time registration fee of Birr 1,000.00
- Purchase of at least 5 shares at Birr 1,000.00 per share (Birr 5,000.00 total)
- A regular monthly savings contribution of at least Birr 500.00
- Compliance with HopeLink's bylaws and regulations
Altogether, becoming a member starts with a minimum contribution of Birr 6,500.00 — registration, shares, and your first month's savings combined.

Your registration fee, share capital, and monthly savings are paid directly into HopeLink SACCO's official bank accounts. Keep your deposit slip — you'll need it when you submit your membership application.

How to become a member
Gather Documents
Prepare your ID, proof of address, and photographs.
Submit Application
Complete the membership form at a branch or online.
Pay Contribution
Deposit your Birr 1,000.00 registration fee, 5 shares (Birr 5,000.00), and first month's savings (min. Birr 500.00) into a HopeLink account.
Orientation
Attend a short orientation on member rights and services.
Start Saving
Open your savings account and begin your membership.

Yes. New members pay a one-time registration fee of Birr 1,000.00 and purchase at least 5 shares at Birr 1,000.00 per share (Birr 5,000.00), then keep a monthly savings contribution of at least Birr 500.00. In total, joining starts with a minimum of Birr 6,500.00.
